Car clubs

Following the successful Car Club conference in June 2008, where Lambeth officers met with car club operators, car plus charity, TFL to discuss who Car Clubs in Lambeth could be taken to the next following the trebling of membership in the past year.

 

Several companies operate across London, Lambeth has four, Car Plus is an overarching organisation providing a single point of contact for car club provision.

 

26 recommendations came out of the seminar which council officers are currently developing into an action plan. Areas explored included expanding provision of car club bays to housing estates, increasing the speed at which car club bays are designated and parking provision.
